Aim :- to collect sample at water from different source and study their physical characteristic .

Apparatus used we need a simple microscope , a compound microscope , test tube .

Collection No 1:-

We collected some water from the freshwater lake :-

Observations :-

1. The water seems green in colour .
2. This may be due to 2 chlorophyceae , This pigment contains chlorophyll a and b .
3. This pigment is also known as green algae found in freshwater , saltwater , blackish water .

Collection No 2:-

We collected water from the seashore at the night we found that the sea was lightning with blue colours :-

Observation :-

1. This group is also known as desmids .
2. Found in freshwater and also marine environment which is microscopic in nature .
3. They also perform photosynthesis.
4. They are glittering colour and they are used as a polishing filtering of oil .

Collection No 3 :-

This is red in nature , large amount of water body is covered with this pigment . we saw that many aquatic animals dead :-

Observation :-

1. They are having two flagella .
2. They are highly poisonous in nature for the aquatic animals .
3. They rapidly multiplies .
