Explanation: Tipu Sultan was born on 20th November 1750 at Devanahalli, which is currently in Kolar district, Bangalore, Karnataka. He was the eldest son of his father Sultan Hyder Ali of Mysore. He took over the throne following the Second Mysore War in 1782 at the death of his father. He was also popularly known as Tiger of Mysore or Tipu Sahab.

Tipu Sultan followed a normal lifestyle which made him one of the greatest leader.He was treated with great respect by his various international allies all because of his personality and simplicity.He received immense support from major allies such as the French, The Sultan of Turkey and The Amir of Afghanistan in the fight against the British. He founded the ‘Jacobin Club’ in 1794.
