here is your answer

Let's convert the work into eating chocolates.

So, let's assume A eats 1 chocolate per day. As A takes 18 days to complete the work,

TOTAL WORK = 18 Chocolates

B is 50% efficient than A. So, B eats 1.5 chocolates per day.

So, time taken by B = [181.5] = 12 days (Answer

let work completed in 1 day by a = w/x
let work completed in 1 day by b = w/y
where x and y is total time taken by a and b respectively

as a is 50% more efficient
so w/y + ( 50/100 × w/y) = w/x
150w/100y = w/x
3w/2y = w/x

so 3w/2y + w/y = w/18
5w/2y = w/18
5/2y=1/18
5/y = 1/9
1/y = 1/45
y = 45 days
