To Find :  construct a perpendicular to a given line form   point

Solution:

Step 1  : Draw a line AB

Step 2 : A point C on the line

Step 3 : Using suitable compass width and C as center draw more than semicircle intersecting AB at X and Y

Step 4 : Using suitable width and taking X and Y as center draw arcs  intersecting at Z

Step 5 , Draw  a line passing through  CZ

CZ ⊥ AB

Step 1  : Draw a line AB

Step 2 : A point C outside  the line

Step 3 : Using suitable compass width and C as center draw arc intersecting AB at X and Y

Step 4 : Using suitable width and taking X and Y as center draw arcs  intersecting at  Z

Step 5 , Draw  a line passing through  CZ and intersecting AB at D

CD  ⊥ AB
