Given length of wall, l = 24 m = 2400 cmBreadth of wall, b = 0.4 m = 40 cm Height of wall = 6 m = 600 cm Volume of wall = lbh cu units                               = 2400 x 40 x 600 cu cm                               = 57600000 cu cm Dimensions of bricks = 25 cm x 16cm x 10 cm Volume of brick = 25 x 16 x 10 cu cm                                 = 4000 cu cmGiven volume of mortar = (1/10) th of volume of wall = (1/10) x 57600000 = 5760000 cu cm Hence volume of bricks used = 57600000 – 5760000 = 51840000 cu cm Number of bricks = (Volume of bricks)/(Volume of 1 brick) = (51840000)/(4000) = 12960 Thus the number of bricks used is 12960.
