Voltmeter is always connected in parallel to a circuit. Since Galvanometer is a very sensitive instrument, therefore it can not measure high potential difference. In order to convert a Galvanometer into voltmeter, a very high resistance known as "series resistance" is connected in series with the galvanometer.

singh7878: (a) high resistances b) low resistance c)condense d) inductor
singh7878: which one
tashubhatt01042: High resistance
tashubhatt01042: This can be done by adding a suitable high resistance in series with galvanometer. When high resistance is connect in series with the galvanometer, very negligible current flow through it
