● The reaction in which two different atoms or groups of atoms are mutually exchanged is called double displacement reaction.

● Pb(NO3)2 + 2KI --- PbI2 + 2KNO3

Pb(NO3)2 = Lead Nitrate
KI = Potassium Iodide
PbI = Lead Iodide
KNO = Potassium Nitrate

● Any reaction that produces a precipitate is called precipitate reaction.

● The colour of the preparation is yellow and the compound precipitate is Pbl2.
