we dont use green plants because respiration in sprouts is more than green plants as they are geminating plant so they release more co2 for breaking the dormancy of seed

Explanation:

When the experiment was performed to demonstrate the production of carbon dioxide then the sprout seeds are preferred more than the green plants. The reason for this is:

1. The green plants will undergo photosynthesis which will consume the available carbon dioxide and will produce oxygen.

2. The sprouted seeds will undergo the process of respiration to produce energy which will use oxygen gas and will form carbon dioxide.

Therefore the sprouted seeds will be used as they produce carbon dioxide and will be used to demonstrate the carbon dioxide.
