The conducting solution is called electrolyte and the conducting material is called electrodes so when the electric current is passed through the electrolyte we can observe that Bubbles will be formed in near the electrode or there would be a change in the colour of the electrolyte. A point to note that the electrode at the negative terminal is always called the *cathode* where is the electrode at the positive terminal is referred as the anode.We can say that the positive electrons always move towards the cathode and thus they are called cations, the negative electrons move towards anode and are called anions
