Point B should be joined with A₁₁

To divide a line segment AB in the ratio 3:8

Step1 : Draw a line segment AB  of some length

Step 2 :  Draw a line segment AX such that ∠BAX is an acute angle

Step 3:  Take 11 points on AX of Equal length one by one ( consecutively)

A₁ , A₂ , A₃ , ... , A₁₁

Step 4 :  Join 11th Point with B as a straight line

Step 5 : Draw a line parallel to line drawn in step 4 such that it passes through 3rd point of step 3 and intersect AB at M

M divides AB in to  3 : 8 Ratio.

11 points are required

Hence point B should be joined with A₁₁
