Answer:

put x= -3 in eq

4x -3 + 5y = 10

-12 + 5y = 10

5y = 10 + 12

y = 10 + 12 / 5

y = 2+ 12

y = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer

\(-4x+5y=-40\cdots(1)\)

If \(x=0\)

Putting in \((1)\), we have,

\(-4(0)+5y=-40\)

\(\implies 0+5y=-40\)

\(\implies 5y=-40\)

\(\implies y=\frac {-40}{5}\implies y=-8\)

If \(x=5\)

Putting in \((1)\), we have,

\(-4(5)+5y=-40\)

\(\implies -20+5y=-40\)

\(\implies 5y=-20\)

\(\implies y=\frac {-20}{5}\implies y=-4\)

If \(x=10\)

Putting in \((1)\), we have,

\(-4(10)+5y=-40\)

\(\implies -40+5y=-40\)

\(\implies 5y=0\)

\(\implies y=0\)
