EXPLANATION.

Graph of the equation.

⇒ 4x + 5y = 19.

As we know that,

Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 4(0) + 5y = 19.

⇒ 5y = 19.

⇒ y = 19/5.

⇒ y = 3.8.

Their Co-ordinates = (0,3.8).

Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 4x + 5(0) = 19.

⇒ 4x = 19.

⇒ x = 19/4.

⇒ x = 4.75.

Their Co-ordinates = (4.75,0).

To find y when x = - 4.

Put the value of x = - 4 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 4(-4) + 5y = 19.

⇒ - 16 + 5y = 19.

⇒ 5y = 19 + 16.

⇒ 5y = 35.

⇒ y = 7.

Answer:

Refer the Attachment for graph

Step-by-step explanation:

Finding y , when x = -4

Putting x = -4

4 (-4) + 5y = 19

-16 + 5y = 19

5y = 19 + 16

5y = 35

y = 7.
