well to draw a graph of distance and time u need to first check whether the velocity is constant of not if the velocity is constant then the your curve will be a straight line
If the body is at rest for long period of time then the curve will be a straight line parallel to x axis 
and to compare the velocity if two bodies at particular point from distance and time graph we compare the slope of that point and the one with more slope has more velocity than the other with less velocity
