Given :

stone is dropped freely in the river from the bridge. The stone takes 2 seconds to touch the water surface in the river

To find :

Calculate the height of the bridge from the water level.

Solution :

u = 0

t = 2 s

g = 9.8 m/s²

h = ?

=> h = ut + ½ at² ...... (formula)

=> h = 0 + ½ x 9.8 (2)²

=> h = 19.6 m

=> 19.6 m height of the bridge from the water level.

Answer:

19.6m

u=0,t=2s,g=9.8m/s2,h=?

h=ut+1/2gt²

h=0+1/2×9.8(2)2=19.2m

so the ans is 19.2

hope it will help you
