The (4) Sugar is the alternator substance chosen when salt is not available to explain " There exists space between particles of liquid."

  • The sugar when mixed in water disappears after sometimes, this is so because there are some vacant spaces in the liquid in which sugar is trapped and get vanishes from the solution.
  • The sugar particles are not visible after sometimes as they get into the intermolecular spaces of the liquid.
  • The sugar completely dissolves into the water.
  • The salt and sugar both get trapped in the vacant spaces in the liquid.

Hence, sugar is the alternator substance chosen when salt is not available to explain " There exists space between particles of liquid."
