HEY MATE!

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER:

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION:

Factors by splitting the middle term:

  • At first recognize the value of a, b and c in the equation. for example , we are given with x^2+5x+6=0, here value of a=1 , b=5 and c=6

  • Now, in splitting the middle term , the middle number (5x in example) will be made up of the factorsof a×b ; in example 5x is made up of factors of a×c that is ,1×6= 6=2,3 so, 5x =2x+3x.

  • Now, just split the middle term into the factors made by a×c = x^2+2x+3x+6=0

  • Now further solve the equation :

x(x+2)+3(x+6)=0 (the brackets after splitting must have same values that is x+6)

(x+3)(x+6)=0

x+3=0 OR x+6=0

x=-3 OR x=-6

HOPE IT HELPED^_^
