The focal length of a convex mirror has been described as:


Well, convex mirror usually forms virtual image, so we need to insert convex lens in between convex mirror or object needle 'o' to get actual focal length.

With the addition of convex lens, an image can be obtained side by side with the object when convex mirror reflects ray along the same path, which means rays falls normally on mirror. Then, radius of curvature denoted with 'R', its a distance between mirror and screen.  

Therefore, Focal length can be calculated using this formula:

F=R/2, R= radius of curvature
