first of all Find the least count of the screw gauge.
then find whether the screw gauge has any error ( positive or negative ) or not.
now place the coin between the jaws and find which division of the circular scale is coinciding with the division of main scale.
multiply the above observation with the least count and add or subtract the error according to whether the error was negative or positive respectively...
