Let the equivalent resistance be R

Whenever two resistances like R₁ and R₂ :

1 / R = 1 / R₁ + 1 / R₂

Hence put R₁ = 2 Ω and :

R₂ = 3  Ω:

1 / R = 1 / 2  Ω + 1 / 3  Ω

==> 1 / R = ( 3  + 2   ) / ( 3  Ω × 2  Ω )

==> 1 / R = 5   / 6  Ω

==> R = 6 / 5  Ω

==> R = 1.2  Ω

ANSWER :

The equivalent resistance will be 1.2  Ω
