Hey !!

First consider the formulae

Effective Resistance Formula :

If we have n number of Resitors

In series connection:

R_{e} = R_{1}+ R_{2}+ \cdots R_{n}

In parallel connection:

\frac{1}{R_{e}} = \frac{1}{R_{1}} + \frac{1}{R_{2}} +\cdots + \frac{1}{R_{n}}

\\ \: \\

If we have 2 Resistors:

In series connection:

R_{e} = R_{1}+ R_{2}

In parallel connection:

\frac{1}{R_{e}} = \frac{1}{R_{1}} + \frac{1}{R_{2}}

\frac{1}{R_{e}} = \frac{R_{1}\times R_{2}}{R_{1}+R_{2}}

•°• For parallel circuits, the effective Resistance is always be less than the smallest resistance for each path.

So series connection has more effective Resistance.

To increase the effective resistance in a circuit the resisitor are connected in \huge{\underline{\textsf{Series}}}
