To maintain beauty of a monument, the students of the school cleaned and painted the
dome of the monument. The monument is in the form of a hemisphere. From inside, it was
white washed by the students whose area is 249.48 m2.
Find the volume of the air inside the dome.
If white washing costs ₹2 per m2, how much does
it costs ?

Answer:

ok

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) Volume of Air -

 Curved Surface Area(They only painted the outside dome) of hemisphere = 2πr^{2} = 249.48m^2

r^{2}= \frac{249.48}{2 * \frac{22}{7}  }

r^{2} = \frac{249.48*7}{2*22}

r^{2} = 39.69

r = \sqrt{39.69}

r = 6.3m

Now , Volume of dome= volume of air inside dome = 2/3 πr^{3}

= \frac{2}{3} * \frac{22}{7} * (6.3)^{3}

= \frac{44 }{21} * 250.047

= 523.908m^{3}

(ii) Cost of white washing it -

Curved surface area × 2Rs = 249.48*2 = 498.96m^{2}
