Mass of NaCl = 36 g

Hence No of moles, n = 36/58.5 = 0.615

Mass of water = 100g

We know that Density of water = 1 g/cm3

Hence, Volume of 100g water = 100 cm3 = 100mL = 0.1 L

Hence Conc . of NaCl = 0.615/0.1

                                   = 6.15 M

ANSWER

  • Mass of solute (sodium chloride) = 36 g

  • Mass of solvent (water) = 100 g

  • Mass of solution

  • = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent

  • = 36 g + 100 g = 136 g
