To make a saturated solution 36g of sodium chloride is dissolved in 100 g of water at 293k find its consentration at this temperature.

Concentration is no. of moles upon volume of solution.

No. of moles of Nacl =36/46.5 as Nacl has molecular mass 46.5.

Volume of H2O = 100ml as water has density 1gm/ml

=0.1 litre

Therefore concentration of Nacl = 36/46.5*0.1

=0.07mol per litre
