To make a saturated solution, 36g of sodium chloride is dissolved in 144 g of water at
293 K. Find its concentration in terms of mass-by-mass percentage of solution at this
temperature.

Mass of sodium chloride (Solute) = 36gm

Mass of water (solvent) = 144 gm

Mass of solution = 36+144

∴ Mass of solution = 180 gm

Concentration = (Mass of Solute / Mass of Solution) * 100

Concentration = (36/180) × 100

Concentration = 20 %
