Given ratio is 3:2
i.e., 3x litres of yellow paint is mixed with 2x litres of blue paint to make green paint.

so,given
12 litres of yellow paint is used

3x = 12

x = 12/3

x = 4

therefore, blue paint used is
2x = 2 × 4 = 8litre

Hi ,

It is given that ,

Ratio of yellow paint and blue paint = 3 : 2

Let yellow paint = 3x liters

blue paint = 2x liters

according to the problem given ,

3x = 12 liters

x = 12/3

x = 4

Therefore ,

Quantity of blue paint used = 2x liters

= 2 × 4

= 8 liters

I hope this helps you.
