Answer:

5 : 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Proper Question :-

The radii of two cylinders are in the ratio 3 : 4 and their heights are in the ratio 5:3. Find the ratio of their curved surface areas

Given :-

Ratio of radii = 3 : 4

Ratio of height = 5 : 3

To Find :-

Ratio of curved surface area

Solution :-

We know that

Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Let,

Radius = 3x and 4x

Height = 5h and 3h

SA1/SA2 = 2 × π × 3x × 5h/2 × π × 4x × 3h

SA1/SA2 = 3x × 5h/4x × 3h

SA1/SA2 = 15xh/12xh

SA1/SA2 = 15/12

SA1/SA2 = 5/4

SA1 : SA2 = 5:4
