Ammonium Chloride is slightly acidic and Barium Hydroxide very basic, so you will get an acid-base reaction occurring (though both reactants are solid). I can remember doing this one in my lab sessions at university all those years ago, because the reaction is highly endothermic and the temperature of the mixture drops to such an extent that any moisture on the outside of the beaker freezes (40°C drop in temperature or thereabouts….)

Ba(OH)2 +2NH4Cl —->BaCl2 + 2NH3 +2H2O
