Answer:

Perimeter of square =4×side

=4×64

=256cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = Perimeter of square

⇒2×(length+breadth)=256

⇒2×(80+breadth)=256

⇒breadth=48cm

Area of square =side×side

=64×64

=4096cm

2

Area of rectangle = =l×b

=80×48

=3840cm

2

Area of Square is greater than Area of Rectangle.

Answer:

Area of the rectangle= Area of the square

perimeter of the square = 4×s

= 4×6= 24m

perimeter of the rectangle= perimeter of the square

2(l+b)= 24

2(9+b)= 24

18+2b= 24

2b= 24-18

2b= 6

b= 6/2= 3m

Hence the breadth is 3 m.

perimeter of the rectangle= 2(l+b)

= 2(9+3)

= 2×12= 24m

Hence the fence required is 24 m
