To preapre a saturated solution of common salt, 36 g of sodium chloride
are dissolved in 100 g of water at 293 K. Find its concentration at this
temperature.

Concentration of the solution at this temperature is 26.47%

Explanation:-

In the solution, given that the:-

(a) Mass of the solute present = 36g

(b) Mass of the solvent present = 100g

therefore,

Mass of the solution =

Mass of the solute present +Mass of the solvent present

= 36g+100g

=136g

We know that:-

Concentration of a solution

={(Mass of the solute present)/(Mass of the solution)}×100

= (36/136)×100

By calculating,we get the value as:-

26.47%

Like other solutions, as the temperature increase,solubility increase and vice-versa
