Concept:

In chemistry, a solution is a homogeneous combination of two or more compounds in their relative proportions. The composition of the solution can be continually changed up to the solubility limit. The word "solution" is most often used to refer to the liquid state of matter, however it is also conceivable for gases and solids to form solutions.

Given:

Here it is given that the question is  prepare a true solution Suspension and colloidal solution and distinguish among them on the basis of transparency filtration and stability.

Find:

We have to prepare a true solution Suspension and colloidal solution.

Solution:

According to the question,

A genuine arrangement has molecule size < 10^{-9} m. It is a homogeneous blend which is clear and straightforward. It goes through the channel paper effectively and is steady.

Colloid has molecule size 10^{-9} m-10^{-6} m. It is heterogeneous and is translucerft. It goes through channel paper and is steady.

The molecule size of Suspension is > 10^{-6} m. It is heterogeneous and dark. Its particles don't go through channel paper and settle under gravity when left undisturbed for at some point.

Take 8 beakers and label them as A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H and add 50mlof water to each of these beakers.

Add samples of salt, sugar and alum to beakers A, B and C. Stir to make clear solution.

Add soil, chalk powder and fine sand to beaker D, E and F. Stir for sometime. Add a small amount of starch to the water and boil the content in beaker G.

In beaker H, add egg albumin and stir vigorously.

Beaker A – Common salt forms a true solution in water.

Beaker B – Sugar forms a……………. in water.

Beaker C – Alum forms a …………….in water.

Beaker D – Soil forms a……………. in water.

Beaker E – Chalk Powder forms a……………. in water.

Beaker F – Fine sand forms a……………. in water.

Beaker G – Starch forms a……………. in water.

Beaker H – Egg albumin forms a …………….in water.

Hence, we have prepared a true solution Suspension and colloidal solution and distinguish among them on the basis of transparency filtration and stability and this is our final answer also.
