Hi there,

Answer: Tricalcium alumina.

The amount of tricalcium Alumina (C3A) generally associated with the Heat of association. It releases a Great amount of Heat throughout the primary few hours of hardening that typically leads to early Cracking.

Cement with a high content of C3A isn't appropriate for Mass Concreting and it is better to be mix with Ash. Lesser the amount of tricalcium alumina, Lesser the liberation of Heat will be there.

Hope it helps you.
