Average Speed = Distance Travelled / Time Taken

Average Speed = 800 + 600 + 200 / 10:30 - 10:00

Average Speed = 1600m / 30 minutes

Average Speed = 0.888888889 m / s

Average Velocity = Displacement / Time

Here Displacement is of School and House, hence we draw a straight line directly from school to house

which can be measured

P = 600m ( since we moved in north )

B = 800m - 200m = 600m

H = P^{2} +B^{2}

= 600^2 + 600^2

= 360000 + 360000

= 720000

Square Root of 720000 =>

848.52m = Displacement/Hypotenuse

Which is 848.52m/30minutes

0.4714 m / s

^^^ Average Displacement ^^^
