you need to take a grid of 10*10

colour three horizontal lines till the end

colour 7 vertical lines till the end

the area where the 2 colours are both present is the answer

do the same for the second one with 5 vertical and horizontal lines.

the answers:

(i) 0.21 (21 squares should be shaded in the grid)

(ii) 0.25 (25 squares should be shaded in the grid)
