first add water and make the mixture and when the water is dissolved in water remove the water and keep it aside then sand and charcoal is left so pour them in sieve and apply the method of sieving the sand will pass through sieve and charcoal will be on the sieve the sand and charcoal is separated and evaporate the water which we kept aside you will notice salt is left behind so all three are seprated
