similarly ,

(4x + 3y = 11)*5

20x + 15y = 55

subtracting the equations

21x + 15y = 57

20x +15y = 55

we get x = 2 as y gets cancelled

if x = 2 then y =

4(2) +3y = 11

8 + 3y = 11

3y = 11-8

3y = 3

y = 1
