multiply equation 1 by 2 ...... therefore..2x+2y = 6
now by eliminating method
+2y and -2y get cancelled
and 3x+ 2x = 5x and also 6+4 = 10
hence 5x = 10
x = 10/5 ......x = 2
substitute x=2 in equation 1
2+y=3 ...y=3-2.....y=1
so ....the answer is x=2. y=1
