she was responsible for her downfall bcoz usually she was not used to applause
and the applause she got in the Bingle bog flattered her .The nightingale also took the frog's words into consideration. She thought that he was a great singer and was a master
because he introduced himself like that ,that is he was a great singer and his voice was accepted by the bog.When the frog insisted the bird to sing in the rain ,she could have resisted it strictly and the continous practicing resulted the depletion of the voice of the nightingale

According to my point of view, the fault or defect in the character of the nightingale was that anybody's words could make or break her opinion. She had no sense of judgement of her own and got influenced by other people's words very easily. This proved to be deadly for her. She could not estimate the line beyond which it was fatal for her. She grew over-confident by the compliments she got after her performance.
