  1. Question⇒  To stich a cloth 2m 15cm is required to stich 1 shirt . Out 40m cloth how many shirts can be stitched how much cloth will it remain (Convert data into cm

Step-by-step explanation:

  • 2 m 15 cm per shirt
  • 40 m cloth
  • 1 m = 100 cm
  • 2m * 100cm/m = 2 * 100cm = 200 cm
  • 200 cm + 15 cm = 215 cm per shirt
  • 40 m * 100cm/m = 40 * 100cm = 4,000 cm
  • 4,000 cm / 215cm = 18.60
  • 18 shirts can be made.
  • 215 cm * 18 = 3870 cm
  • 4,000 - 3,870 = 130 cm cloth left.

Hey! ! !

Solution :-

☆ Given,

Cloth required to stitch one shirt = 2m 15cm

= 2 x 100 + 15 cm

= 215cm

Given, length of cloth = 40 m (1m =100cm)

= 40 x 100

= 4000cm

Number of shirts that can be stitched and the cloth remains = 4000 ÷ 215

= 18 + 130

(i.e we get Quotient= 18, and remainder = 130
