Total length of the cloth = 50 m

= 50 × 100 cm = 5000 cm

Cloth required to stitch one shirt = 2 m 50 cm

= 2 × 100 + 50cm = 250 cm

Number of shirts that can be stitched out of 4000 cm = 5000 / 250 = 20 shirts

Hence 20shirts can be stitched out of 50m and 2m 30 cm of cloth is left out
