40m = 4000 cm
2m 15 cm = 215cm

Divide 4000 by 215 the quotient will be The number of shirt and remainder will be remainder is remaining cloth:-

4000 = 215 × 18 + 130

So number of shirt = 18

Remaining cloth = 130cm or 1.3m
