Total cloth: 40 cm

= 40 multiplied by 100

=4000 cm

Cloth required for 1 shirt: 2m 15 cm

=2 multiplied by 100 + 15

= 215 cm

= 215/4000

= 18

Remainder: 130

Therefore, 18 shirts can be stitched and 130 cm is left.

Hope it helps.
