Cloth for 1 trouser = 1m 30 cm = 130cm
Total cloth = 15m = 1500cm

No. of trouser
= total cloth/ cloth required for 1 trouser
= 1500/130
= 11.53

Therefore,
11 trousers can completely be made out of 150m cloth

Ans: 11

Concept

The qualities of an item or event can be quantified so that we can compare them to those of other objects or occurrences. When discussing the division of a quantity, measurement is the word that is used the most frequently.

Given

The measurement of cloth given is 15 m

The cloth needed for stitching is 1m 30 cm

Find

We need to find the measurement of remaining cloth

Solution

Cloth for 1 trouser = 1m 30 cm = 130cm

Total cloth = 15m = 1500cm

No. of trouser

= total cloth/ cloth required for 1 trouser

= 1500/130

Now the Quotient we get is 11

Therefore 11 trousers can be stitches

And the remainder is 7

Hence 7cm of cloth will be remaining
