Answer:

1 pant = 1m 15 cm

(1m = 100 cm )

1 pant = 115 cm

let x pants be stitched in 36 m

36 m = 36×100 cm

= 3600 cm

x pants = 3600/115 cm

( quotient = 31 ; remainder = 7)

31 pants can be stiched and 7 cm cloth will be left

Answer:

Total cloth available = 36 meter

1 meter = 100 cm

Total cloth in CM = 3600

Cloth required for 1 pant = 1 meter and 15 cm = 1*100+15 = 115 cm

Total pants that can be stitched = 3600/115 = 31 + reminder

Balance Cloth

For 1 pant  = 115 cm

For 31 pants = 115 *31 = 3565

Total cloth = 3600

Balance = 3600-3565 = 35 cm

Answer = 31 pants and balance cloth 35 cm
