1)action of water on quick lime:

-This is a combination reaction.

CaO + H2O------Ca(OH)2

The two combine to form calcium hydroxide or slaked lime.

2)Action of heat on ferrous sulfate crystals.

-This is a decomposition reaction

FeSO4----------> Fe2O3 + SO3 + SO2

-iron sulfate is decomposed by heat to form iron(III)oxide, sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide.

3)Iron nails kept in copper sulphate solution.

-This is a displacement reaction(single displacement)

Fe + CuSO4--------> FeSO4 + Cu

Iron displaces copper from the sulphate solution to form iron(II) sulphate.

4)Sodium sulphate and barium chloride.

-This is a double displacement reaction.

Na2SO4 + BaCl2  -------> 2NaCl + BaSO4
