To study the dependence of current (I) in the potential difference (v), a student recorded the observation in a tabular form. Based on the observation he obtained a V-I graph which was straight line passing through the origin. What does this straight lines signify?

As we know the Ohms Law which states that V is directly proportional to I
i.e
V/I is constant.
And here the constant is R, which is the Resistance.
