There are two types of number systems :-

  • Indian Numeric System

Example :-

For example : The number 63,57,125 in Indian Numeric System table should be written as :-

Lakhs Period

6 = Ten Lakh (T.L)

3 = Lakh (L)

Thousand Period

5 = Ten Thousand (T.th)

7 = Thousand (Th)

Ones Period

1 = Hundred (H)

2 = Tens (T)

5 = Ones (O)

Successor = 1 more than the number is known to be as its successor.

Predecessor = 1 less than the number is known to be as its predecessor.

Odd number = The numbers which are not the multiples of 2 are called odd numbers. For example, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 are odd numbers.

Even Number = The numbers which are multiples of 2 are called even numbers. For example, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 are even numbers.

Prime Number = The number which have only 1 and the number itself as its factor are called prime number. For example, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 are prime numbers.

Composite Number = The number which have more than 2 factors are called composite numbers. For example, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10 are composite numbers.

Perfect Number = The numbers in which the sum of the factors other than the number itself form the number is called a perfect number. For example, 6 and 28 are perfect number because the factors of 6, i.e. 1 + 2 + 3 = 6. And the factors of 28, i.e. 1 + 2 + 4 + 7 + 14 = 28.
