The poem "to the pupil' is actually about the teacher importance especially in a child's life. The poet tells about how the teacher help to developed a child . A teacher teaches necessary things from very early life of a child, Not only this he tries to test the student after the student gets the knowledge . And the student have to passes through different instances under his teacher which he gives him knowledge and improve his personality. In the end teacher become satisfied when he see his student at good position and level.
This actually illustrates the teacher role and importance.
