Answer:

Concept of divisibility:

2= Any number having the last digit even(0,2,4,6,8) is divisible by 2.

For example:

  • 12/2=6, 24/2=12, 36/2=18, 48/2=24, 50/2=25,etc.

3= If the sum of any number is a multiple of 3, then the number is divisible by 3.

For example:

  • 157341=1+5+7+3+4+1

=21

Since 21=3*7, is a multiple of 3, the

number 157341 is divisible by 3.

4= If the last two digits of any number is a multiple of 4, then the number is divisible by 4.

For example :

  • 1220, here the last two digits are 20, which is a multiple of 4 (4*5=20). So the number 1220 is divisible by 4.

5= If the last digit of any number is '0' or '5', then the number is divisible by 5.

For example:

  • 555, 100, 105, 550, etc., are divisible by 5.

6= If any number is divisible by both 2 and 3, the number is divisible by 6 too.

Also the number should be even.

For example:

  • 666, for 2, it is divisible b'cause its even and for 3, we have- (6+6+6=18), which is a multiple of 3. So the number 666 is divisible by 6 too.

7= If the last digit of any number is doubled and is subtracted from the remaining number and if the result of the number is evenly divisible by 7, then the original number is divisible by 7 too.

For example:

  • 63, here we separate as '6' and '3', we double the last digit '3' which would give us 3+3=6. Now we subtract the it from the remaining, .i.e. 6-6=0, which is divisible by 7. So the number 63 is divisible by 7 too.

8= If the last three digits of a whole number are divisible by 8, then the entire number is divisible by 8.

For example:

  • 2789448, the last three digits when divided by 8, gives '448/8=56', which means the entire number 2789448 is divisible by 8.

9= If the sum of any number is a multiple of 9, then the number is divisible by 9

For example:

  • 157341=1+5+7+3+4+1

=21

Since 21=9*3, is a multiple of 9, then

the number 157341 is divisible by 9.

(SAME AS DIVISIBLITY RULE OF 3)

10= If the last digit of any number is '0', then the number is divisible by 10.

For example:

  • 100, 20000, 30054720, etc., are divisible by 10.
