Given, p(x)=x2−4x+3

=x2−3x−x+3

=x(x−3)−1(x−3)

=(x−3)(x−1)

For zeroes of polynomial, p(x)=0

i.e. (x−3)(x−1)=0

or, x=3 or x=1

Let, α=3 and β=1

α+β=a−b

αβ=ac

Here, a=1b=−4c=3

α+β=4

αβ=3

Answer:

I.

Step-by-step explanation:

x2-4x + 3

x = 1

(1)2 - 4(1) + 3

( ) means multiple

+2 - 4 +3

(+) + (-) = subtract and put greater symbol

-2 + 3 = 1
