To what extent has decentralization achieved its objective.

Plz give correct answer in your own words then I will mark brainlist..​

Well I believe decentralization couldn't achieve its objective as whole you could see mostly in north western regions only where this is working as it should like Punjab , Haryana etc.

But if you are asking about its achievement then

1) It is now more easy for the people and government to connect

2)Local government like Gram panchayat in villages , Municipal corporation in towns, they can work much more efficiently and quickly then the state or union gov.t on daily problems like water shortage. "katuati" .

3) They help in deepening of democracy .

4) Regular election encourages the gov.t or candidates to work for the benefit of citizens.

I would add more points if I can remember.
